The purpose of this project is to explore the relationship between form and function in architectural design. The goal is to show that beauty is not only defined by visual aesthetics, but also by how effectively a structure expresses its purpose and responds to real constraints such as gravity. Students are challenged to design a bridge that can open to provide a 30' x 40' clearance for water traffic, demonstrating how functional requirements can shape and enhance the overall form.
